Our Mission
The mission of Youth Connections Unlimited is to provide and facilitate preventative and follow-up programs for, "at risk" and "high risk" young people.
Youth Connections Unlimited works as a service provider to the Sacramento County Probation Department with a focus on re-entry mentoring and preventative programming with a commitment to the principles of Restorative Justice.
The proven solution is mentoring at-risk young people to show them they are of value, and they are not alone.
Our at-risk young people need mentors to listen to them, to be there for them, and to set an example of what a responsible adult should be.
Mentors don’t have to be perfect, they just need to be there. Today’s at-risk youth are tomorrow’s adults. “Where they go from here,” is up to us.
“High-risk” youth who have been matched with a mentor from YCU drop the 73% re-offend rate to less than 10%.
